Hi, everybody.
Some of you know that yesterday I had a biopsy done on my prostate. Today, I'm feeling a bit sore in my pelvic area. I would like to know is this a normal side effect? Is this an indication that there could be cancer in that area? It's understandable that none of you can say for sure if I have PC, but I also know that pain in the pelvic area can be a symptom of PC.
So, I was starting to wonder could the pain be related to PC or biopsy? The pain is on the left side of my pelvic area. Is that a good or bad sign, or normal side effect?

the pain is most assuredly related to the biopsy. now let's hope that biopsy comes back negative

It's a normal side effect, as is blood in the urine and blood in the semen. I would be more surprised if you were completely pain free.
As I recall, I would call my experience more "discomfort" than pain, but given what happens during a biopsy, some pain is certainly to be expected, and I would not associate it at all with the presence or non-presence of cancer.
Here's hoping your results are good.

Sammas,
It is perfectly normal and each person is a little different. For me, I didn't have any pain afterwards, no blood in the urine, but blood in the semen which lasted for about
3 weeks, at first bright red and towards the end of the second and third week turned brownish in color.
As for pelvic pain, usually PC doesn't cause any pain until it is in latter stages. So don't fret about
anything until you get the results back.

You doc did bad things down there - it's going to hurt for awhile. If it gets too bad call him and complain.
Hang in there,

Very, very normal after effect of having a prostate biopsy. You should get over some of those ill feelings within a few days. If not, be sure to let your doctor know.
Until you get your final results, your mind will be playing all kinds of tricks on you, with every new ache and pain making you suspicious of having PC. Again, very normal, just don't let it get to you.
You will have your answer soon enough.
