Chinese Medicine for Intermediate Stage PC

I have no experience with TCM really but take some supplements that might overlap, just for possible prevention.
Radiation is often as good as surgery, especially at age 70.
There is targeted focal therapy, using lasers or freezing as an alternative for some.
I had cryoablation, whole gland freezing as outpatient, with some urinary complications.
There may be options besides surgery or TCM. Good luck.

I'm not familiar at all with Chinese medicine, but I do have some experience with an intense desire to avoid surgery if at all possible. Almost certainly based on pure emotion rather than logic or rational thinking. I would have been tempted to consult a witch doctor if I thought it would have helped me avoid the DaVinci machine. But then reality set in and I accepted the hand that fate had dealt me, had the surgery, and have never regretted it.

You have a variety of proven options from which to choose. Good luck with your choice.

Maybe I can share my husband's experience with you.

We live in Hong Kong and my husband went to a Chinese medicine doctor, who specializes in cancer treatment. He is a professor of the local university Chinese medicine department. He is also a western doctor (got his degree from Australia). He is a famous chinese medicine doctor in Hong Kong and it's hard to get an appointment with him.

We started the appointment with him right after the surgery (when looking back, we should go right after Dx).

As a doctor in both western and chinese medicine, he believes in combined therapy, to get the best of both worlds.

When we first met him ,after reviewing the pathology report, the doctor told us that my husband needs to come for 5 years.

My husband meets him every month and the medicine will be adjusted according to my husband's condition + having those herbs that are for cancer fighting. My husband needs to take medicine everyday (the medicine is in powder form, so just need to pour in hot water).

After 2 years, now he meets the doctor bi-monthly and takes the medicine every other day.

I think we Chinese are very used to and confident in chinese medicine. If you want to be a chinese doctor, you need to complete 5 years of study in university, then 2 years of internship and then pass the examination. So they are professionals.

However, in Hong Kong, we usually use combined therapy (western and chinese medicine) for cancer treatment. People seldom only follow Chinese medicine route. Every hospital, be it private or public, has its own chinese medicine department. The usual practice is to use western medicine/surgery to treat the cancer patient first, then use chinese medicine for helping the patients to recover, improve QoL and prevent recurrence or spreading.

Just a word of warning, if you want to try out chinese medicine, please find a doctor who has a proper licence and got his/her degree in a chinese medicine medical school.

Even in Hong Kong, we do not have a lot of Chinese medicine doctors that specialize in cancer treatment.
