Agreed. And it's upsetting that it took so long to realize that chemo + ADT would be so beneficial for guys with high volume mets. ADT and Doxetaxel have been around for decades and we just learn about it now? (...Still not known if this is a good approach for low volume mets.). But yes, for all the high cost new therapies, this seems to be the combo that has proven the best significant survival for advanced cases.
Interesting also is the drug, Metformin...been around forever for diabetes, is relatively cheap, and for a subset of guys it may be effective at controlling PC. Jury still out, but just wanted to point this out because sometimes it's the drugs, therapies that have been around for a long time that sometimes are the most effective.
The newer therapies are just a start I hope. Combination therapies and newer drugs hopefully will push the survival times to a point we have just a chronic disease. Hopefully cheaper as well...
