psa stopped rising?

So after being on Avodart (started 9/30) and the other stuff Myers has me on for a couple weeks, my PSA test (10/9) is the same as it was 8/26. So that's good, I think, but I've also read numbers need to be adjusted somehow when you are on Avodart.

Rigby - what's the avodart for? What's he treating you for? It would help if you added a signature.

So, no, there is no adjustment to be made in your PSA for Avodart because you don't have a prostate.

For men with a prostate and BPH, Avodart may cut their PSA in half, on the average, because it reduces PSA due to BPH but not the PSA due to PC. Even then, recalculation is not done - it establishes a new, more accurate baseline.
