Do you know those little newsletters that people fold up and stash in their Christmas cards? The ones where they tell you that little Biffy's sore paw is getting better and that Uncle Frank is out of rehab, again? Those newsletters? Well I like them best when they are totally boring. It turns out that for most of our relatives a life that is good to live isn't that interesting to read about. I pull them out, read them over, and will often think "God, that was tedious! Well good. Aunt Sue and Uncle Jack are doing OK."
As for Drama, it has always been my least favorite category at the video store. Larded with ponderous, self-important attempts by aging directors to finally make that "serious" film and win an Academy Award, it is leavened only with soggy three-hanky chick-flicks. So yes, I can do without the drama. But we will be looking for you to give us something in you upcoming status reports from the categories that have slashes in their names -- "Action/Adventure" and/or "Comedy/Romance".
Glad to hear you are doing well.
