JP Drain question

I had a RALP three days ago. They took out some lymph nodes as well. The JP Drain was removed the next day. The incision continued to ooze a bit until sometime early this morning -- I changed my bandage at 3:00 am and it was clean when I got up later, and still no fluid appearing 15 hours later.

However, the area around the drain site is getting rather large and feels a bit wobbly, like a quarter-full catheter bag. My abdomen is visibly lopsided, but not grossly. There is no discomfort.

Is this thing going to pop? Or will the fluids be absorbed by my body?

I had the pratt drain in a month. There was a minimum of fluid that needed to be reached in the bag prior to removal. 2 months later I had 2 golfball size lymphocels causing minor malaise and low grade fever. They self resolved in 3 weeks, but can be drained on office visit. I had 27 or 29 nodes removed all negative cancer. Do see your physician. Drain may have been removed too soon. Lymphocels are not the same as lymphedema which can be more serious. To my knowledge lymphedema is rarely involved in pelvic area lymph node dissection. It is more common for for node removal in breast cancer.
Ask the doc about both conditions when you see him/her.
