Quincy with respect to Zytiga, I get mine through Diplomat Pharmacy.
After it is approved, whoever contacts you ask them about the foundation for financial assistance that pays your Zytiga 100% if your retirement income for two is below $60,000 as mine was in 2013.
Since it is a drug, it falls under Medicare Plan D Prescription Drugs, rather than for example Lupron, Xgeva, Prolia that are doctor/nurse adminsitered and covered under Plan B.
Had the foundation not been paying I think my copay on Plan D with Humana would have been over $2,000 per month and I would quickly have entered the so called donut hole and a few months later quickly exited the donut hole quite a bit poorer for someone on fixed income.
Jerry, not sure how much of the alleged superpowers of Provenge are supported by trial versus propaganda, but I figured can't hurt, might help.
My PSA was 0.05 going into Provenge, and after Provenge/SBRT is <0.01, but who is to say whether it was that combo or jsut the Zytiga.
