Sildenfil 20mg $1 GREAT DEAL AND ITS LEGIT

I went to the pharmacy to fill prescript for Viagra and was told about sildenafil in 20mg which are usual prescribed for pulmonary something-something. Anyway the pharmacist contacted my docter to explain that is the same as Viagra and he agreed. So a prescription for 40 tabs was $41 and change. You have to take 5 to equal one dose of 100mg Viagra but the great thing is if you want to take a small dose for nocturnal erection just take 1 or 2 and that's the same as a little less then a quarter or half of a 100mg Viagra. Hope this helps some guys it has helped me not blow up my credit card and if I ever get back close to who I was (ED) before surgery my wifes in a world of trouble at a dollor per LOLOLOLO

It is used for pulmonary arterial hypertension. I know that my insurance company requires that other drugs fail first (as treatment for pulmonary hypertension) before they will approve even the generic viagra. So, the doc has to code for a very rare condition and try another medication first, and only then will they consider approval. Re-approval is needed on an annual basis.

I may just have crappy insurance (well, I know that I do), but my point is that this won't work for everyone, and the insurance companies may be looking for that diagnosis code to validate the need for the med. It's so funny that a business called "insurance" is really all about denying coverage for anything and everything they can manage to thwart.

While it would be lovely to get our insurance companies to pay for our PDE5i drugs they are too busy with their pi55ing match with the drug companies to bother, even for this new generic.

But...

Don't get so hung up on your insurance that you miss the fact that we are talking about a price range that won't break the bank for most of us if we have to pay cash. The equivalent of 10 100mg Viagra each month? Fifty bucks. 40mg per day for a low-dose regimen? Sixty bucks a month.

I just got my prescription for 60 20mg tablets for $54 and change not using my ins., thats the equivalent 12x100mg Viagra. That would cost around $310 if you bought Viagra. Its the same medication as Viagra, just packaged for ed or pulmonary arterial hypertension. I hope this helps any guys that aren't aware of this. funny thing is when you google sildenafil, Viagra comes up cause it the same med just a different dose specificcaly for pulmonary arterial hypertension. I hope some day in the future the ins. companys recognized that after a prostatectomy most of us are taking this for a medical need and not for entertainment. I include the pharmaceutical companys in that.

Melaine, I can only tell you my experience, someone on this site said to get sildenafil. So I asked my surgeon for a prescription and when I went to fill it they charged me 4 or 5 hundred dollers. At that point the pharmacist explained that if you get 20mg tablets they are $1 each and it's the same med. so she called my docter and he changed the dose and I paid $40 and change for 40 tabs, when i got home I googled sildenafil and Viagra kept coming up I then read that the 20mg dose is for pulmonary disease. When I talked to my surgeon he wasn't aware of a 20mg dose. His origional dose was 100mg that's the dose that they where going to charge me 4 or 5 hundred dollers. I just had a prescription for 60tabs filled for a little over $50. I get the feeling most surgeon don't know this. I think I just got lucky with this pharmacist so I had my surgeon write and mail me a new prescription and I went to a different pharmacy and they filled it know problem. The key is the dose and my surgeon wrote 5 tabs as a dose as needed. My surgeon is from John Hopkins so I know it's a safe med I had asked him in the beginning to write me a script for Viagra in a different form from outside the U.S. and he refused sorry for any typos or incomplete sentences typed on my phone. Trying to help some guys out but you may have to tell the doc or pharmacist what you want and not take no for a answer

There are many reverse engineered drugs available in Canada and elsewhere. None are legal in the US. Not even from Canada. That stated, I know of many people that have safely used these knock-offs with success. So yes there are generics that are legal in other countries. But the big 3 VED drug companies have legal patents in the us that prevent these drugs from being distributed illegally.

DH just spoke with OptumRx about getting another "supply" of Viagra. (DH's surgeon has DH on 50 mg of Viagra daily for increased blood flow and 100 mg for fun time. Unfortunately our insurance company only covers three pills per month.)

Through some ridiculous mix-up DH is not able to get more pills (covered by insurance) until around Christmas. So we asked about the cost without insurance. Get this: one 100 mg Viagra pill is $113!!!! I completely lost it and told her she was out of her mind.

I suppose I agree with what Tony said on a purely factual level but I don't agree with his inferences. Sildenafil when used to treat ED is still patented in the US and will be for several years. Sildenafil (same exact drug) when used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension is no longer under patent and there are several companies making and selling generic versions (at a 20mg per pill dose). There's nothing reverse-engineered about it. The reason the patent has expired is because the drug was being used for that purpose before they released it as an erection pill.

Your doctor can prescribe generic "Revatio" as an off-label treatment for ED. Your insurance probably won't pay for it but it is fairly cheap.

You might try one of the prescription drug price comparison tools that Consumers Reports reviewed. One of my local TV stations likes GoodRx.

This site offers a "coupon" which is also a reusable discount card. It more or less alerts the pharmacy that you really are a comparison shopper paying cash and that they should reveal to you the secret price.

I just ran Avodart and Crestor through the GoodRx price check, and Express-scripts which is my insurance. Turns out the GoodRx price for these is two to four times higher. Of course the insurance prices are AFTER I've met the deductible, which I already did. If I paid out of pocket from the beginning none of it would go to the deductible so it would take some more number crunching to see which way is best for the year.

You might try his primary care doctor. Any doctor can prescribe PDE5i drugs. Not sure why your surgeon's PA was balking. It is not the "equivalent" drug. It is the same drug with a different name.

Some medical practices have prescribing guidelines. Perhaps there is some rule at the practice that limits what the PA can do.

The PA claimed that the PA before her had lost her job for prescribing a drug off-label. I guess that if my husband wants to get sildenafil this way he will have to get it from an MD and not someone who works under them. An MD might be more flexible about prescribing a drug in an off-label way.
