I had never heard of this procedure before Dr. Plante suggested it to me after positive prostate cancer biopsy.
My PSA was 10.25. I first elected to monitor the cancer. Dr. Plante recommended I visit the Chicago Prostate Center for consultation and a second opinion. I met with Dr. Moran July 23, 2014. He was very positive in his attitude he could help me. So I had the radiation seed implant August 14, 2014. 68 seeds were implanted in my prostate. I just had my 4 month follow up appointment with Dr. Moran. My PSA is down from 10.25 to 4.41. This procedure definitely is better than surgery and possibly wearing diapers the rest of your life.
One final note: The staff and doctors at Chicago Prostate Center are the kindest, nicest and caring people you'll ever meet.
