Good fishing trip

Just flew back from a 15 day trip. Helped deliver a boat from Long Beach around Cabo and up the Sea of Cortez to La Paz where the boat will spend the winter. My last trip was 4 years ago so it was good to be on the water again.
I was a good trip but not great, (I must be getting older). Caught a few marlin and dorado and lots of wahoo and all the tuna you could ever want. Lots of beer and of course margaritas every night. all in all, pretty relaxing.

Welcome back, John. We've missed your good information to newcomers and long-timers. Alas, there was no cure discovered for PCa while you were away.

I wondered where you had been, didn't realize you had been on an extended trip. Sounds like a great time. I miss both boating and fishing, two of my former play time events.

WoW! Fishing for marlin. Now there is something I have always wanted to do. Such an amazingly powerful fish that puts on a great display when hooked.

I am envious. Not only lots of fun, but some great eating there. Reminds me of a trip we took in Hatteras. That evening we had dolphin (dorado), wahoo, and yellowfin tuna on the grill. All are excellent, but the tuna steaks are my favorite.

Welcome back John T and glad to hear you had a safe trip, and great fishing as well! I've never fished on any of the big ponds, just inland lakes in the U.P. of Michigan and also my every other year fly-in up in N.W. Ontario. Caught the Pike in the shallows this year, lots of big ones including a 41", 16-pounder.

Yes, for sure glad to have you back here - your input is always spot on, and unfortunately with all the newbies that have popped up here very recently - that input is needed even more.
