1965-2015 from a recurring cancer.

He was an ESPN analyst for those who might not know.

OMG, being an Aussie, I had never heard of Stuart Scott, but watched the video on Dewaynes link.

Left me moved to tears.

What a man! You can just tell how impressive he would have been as a sports reporter.

Really knew what life is all about.

There are some guys, like Scott, and Jimmy Valvano, who just had a gift in that they understood life. These guys are rare. They just get it. We can only hope that we find a positive in the crap we are dealing with, like Stuart Scott did.

Thanks for posting that. I only heard about Stuarts appendix cancer last year, and thought he was recovering again for the third time. He fought it for many years since 2007. I too was moved to hear his speech when it was originally broadcast at the Jimmy V awards, and hearing it again just fortified my outlook for the future, especially that quote that you highlighted. Plus he dedicated his struggle to his daughters, very touching.     "Keep the faith always"
