I have now been off HT for 7 months after 18 months on. My December psa test just came back at <0.1 and my testosterone has recovered to around 300. So to-day I am super happy. Originally I was told I would never be eligible for IADT; but with a change of medical team and aggressive treatment, here I am. I don't take anything for granted (including my next test) and I want to urge all my high risk brothers to find a medical team that will take an aggressive approach and never give up on you. Hope springs eternal.

Congrats and good for you...I thought I could never do Intermittant HT either...a good team is key.

What do your docs say about Avodart in the off season?

Hi Simon.

I was also once thought to be on a life sentence of Lupron, did as you suggest, and my current medical oncologist is in favor of me going onto IHT if I remain PSA undetectible until I have been Zytiga for 9 months which would be Memorial Day.

That would also be after 26 months on Lupron that I started 3-28-13.

So congrats on your excellent report and hoping to follow in your footsteps soon.

Thanks for your support. Great to see you guys pulling such great numbers. It makes it a little easier to be on HT if there's a prospect of getting a holiday. Please keep posting your results because they help inspire all the guys with G9's - including me.

Its about 70 here. Cold winter weather. The health care system may not be too good but the temperature is perfect and the living is easy. I am so glad and happy your numbers and scans are looking great. You and your docs were so completely right to throw so much at it. You have a lot of living ahead and now it really looks like you're on the right path to get there. You will find the HT holiday, when you get there, is a real plus.

BTW., if ever you and your family get sick of the good weather there, you will have a place to stay in Hawaii.
