Agreed. This is clearly the way all three of us are moderating this rule and I think we have been pretty consistent in its application. What frequently happens is that a request for participation just "appears" on the site. One of us then will delete any links or contact info and ask the requester to get permission from Peter. Occasionally they do; more frequently they just go away because they think its too much trouble. The HW position is that if it's too much trouble to get permission then the study is not worthy of our time...
