After going through many posts here, it appears that many members here only found prostate inflammation on their first biopsy or imaging studies. But a few years later, those spots of inflammation seem to have caused progression to aggressive disease for some. Many latest research evidence also support the idea that chronic inflammation is crucial to the development and progression of prostate cancer (and other cancers as well, such as Hep C Virus can cause liver cancer due to chronic inflammation)
On color doppler I have very severe inflammation which have lasted over 2 years now (non-bacterial since they can't culture anything, tried 3 times). I have been on antibiotics to try to get rid of it. I have tried the anti-inflammatory diet for over a year, tons of tumeric/pomegranate juice/broccoli/garlic/veggies/fruits/low simple sugars/low meat/no diary/supplement vitamin D etc etc. And this inflammation is still there on color doppler and is actually getting worse over the past year.
Does anyone here know any way to deal with this? I do not have any urinary symptoms such as thin stream or pelvic pain, so this inflammation is asymptotic.
Given my high age-specific PSA (bounce between 1.0-1.5 for a 33 year old), and my chronic inflammation, I do not like my chances of avoiding PCA down the line. I would appreciate any insight into how I can get rid of this inflammation.
