Much to our surprise, when we showed up to the initial consult for the DRibbles vaccine pilot study, we were offered a second choice of a new oral treatment of a vitamin E derivative, also a pilot study for any cancers. Gary chose to go with the immunotherapy and will have current scans then back to Portland for the first vaccine injected into a lymph node late next week. Hoping for good results and I will post his progress. The PCa has always reminded him of it's presence with nausea and vomiting, and by the time it hits him it's too late for the anti nausea meds to catch up. He has been keeping a lot less down as of late, and I believe if we c an keep the nausea under control somehow, he will be able to travel enough to get through this trial. And if this one fails and he's up for it, we can try the oral treatment.

That sounds like good news.

Beth. Sounds like some good news at last. I certainly hope this all works out for Gary. He/you certainly deserve it.

I think that you should go and cook a nice plate of snickerdoodles in celebration. Heck! I may even join you. turn

CelabrateLife, I am praying for you both. It is literally the Best I can do. Please give your husband my regards and thank him for his courage. That is an end in itself. I can feel the the tears in your eyes and the tear's, that at times, slice both of your hearts. Be comforted in each other, you, melded together are the " the, "Gifts of the Magi" never to be torn asunder. Know this!!

Your prayers and kind thoughts are so much appreciated. I believe we will continue to appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support, as there will be a lot of traveling and Gary still battling nausea. Scans are next step. Hope he can keep down the contrast fluid. They don't make it snickerdoodle flavored. How did that recipe work for you Casper?
Logos, what you say is true...it took some fire from the forge to meld our hearts, but they are forever entwined.

I didn't even think about the contrast fluid Beth. That is going to be a real test. I wish I had a few travel tips for you but I'm about as bad at it as he is. You know that you both have my thoughts and prayers . . . Q

Beth. It worked super good thank you. My son even got me to make him a batch so he could take them to work. He said they are the best cookies he has ever tasted!

Every time I make a batch I think of you and Gary, wondering how you are getting on and say a little prayer for you both. Funny how a simple cookie can bring thoughts like that.
