Was almost afraid to open up your post. But heart rate back down, so very happy those scans came up clean and clear. You and your family deserve the break. Hearty congratulations to you, as you continue to enjoy your life.

How is your wife doing currently? Hadn't seen an update for a while?

Thank you Andrew and David, guess this gives me a bit of breathing space, that bone scanner was not a good experience for me, as I am claustrophobic, but managed to get through it with a bit of panic.

David , thanks for asking about my wife, the last blood test showed her kidney function had increased to 16% which is low, but enough to keep her off dialysis for now, so all is encouraging, she is back to shopping, cooking (thank goodness) driving etc. which is a blessing, however she tires easily, hoping to get away for a few days soon, only in Australia, our trips overseas are finished as she wants to stay in the country, and who can blame her?

thanks for the update on your wife, that is low kidney function. if you had time to read one of my updates, my VA doctor (PCP) alerted me that both my kidney and level function numbers are off the chart. They are trying to work me in urgently, to run some more advanced blood work, and to do ultra sound tests to take a look. Since I have the urosotomy, I can not afford to have any type of kidney problem, as they are under extra strain as it is, and with no bladder in place, it could get real complicated.

understand your wife wanting to keep her travel "local", I am the same way pretty much. don't want to be far from doctors I trusts and hospitals I have experience with. would not want to be real far away and have a serious flare up of any type.
