DRE today

Had a DRE today,  usually get them every year with PSA.  PSA was .52 , but the doctor performing the DRE said he felt "a bump or two"  go to the urologist.  Anybody out there have anything like this?   I'm 62 in good general health.  Will see the uro tomorrow.  ken

Welcome to HW.

Good to see the URO for that. DREs can be a bit subjective so it's good to have the URO check it out.

There are a few things that can create "a bump or two." Likely not much to really worry about, you're PSA is so low that I'd be surprised if it turns out to be anything.

Hi Ken and welcome to HW. I totally agree with Andrew. It's worth checking out but highly doubtful it is anything serious. Good luck and please let us know.

Lots of benign things cause bumps or two like cysts or calcifications. I agree with Andrew that with PSA that low it's unlikely there's anything serious going on.

You could get another Dre from someone else also. its so easy to get drawn in to the medical maze,.
