Hi all-

I've been away from HW for several months.

Brief update: I'm doing well. PSA still undetectable. ED is only a minimal issue now. My surgery was slightly more than 2 years ago.

Question: Where can I get detailed information on possibilities for fathering a child after RALP? (No, I didn't freeze any sperm before the surgery, so I realize that having more kids might be a complicated matter.)

Ummmmm, never heard of the possibility. Your testes are still producing sperm, but I'm not sure how they could be used. The connections are gone. Maybe someone else knows something different.

I know, having gone through infertility treatment when I was married to my first husband, that they can extract sperm directly from the testicles and perform artificial insemination. ~Miki

Yes, having a baby via in vitro is a possibility. You need to contact a fertility clinic. There are four different methods now to extract sperm.

I have a 31 year old wife that wants a baby so I'm checking into this process also. There are a number of clinics in the LA area that offer the services.

Others have asked this question here in the past. It can be done: the best advice I can offer is to Google "Harvesting Sperm".

You may have found this already, I just googled, but just in case, I'm emailing you a link to a practice in NY, that harvests sperm.
