how experienced should uro implanting beacons be?

I am very frustrated with our cancer center trying to get appointments for DH. They are in no hurry to make them, and DH's psa is slowly rising, and time is ticking. He is about 6 months from RP.

Finally he met with the RO, and they said he should start his SRT, but DH's oncology uro can't get him in for 6 weeks to put the calypso beacons in, so they'e set him up with a different oncology uro to have the them implanted. How do i know if he's experienced enough? I asked and the scheduler said "oh, he's done many".... whatever that means.

mean time they haven't scheduled the other appointments in preparation for SRT. is it normal to have such a difficult time scheduling appointments? Calling the cancer center and being transferred from department to department trying to find anything out or make appointments is an exercise in frustration.

Thanks for responding! I'll not worry about the new uro then. I feel less anxiety when everything is on my calendar, but I'll try to be more patient about that too.

Thanks Allen. DH is not on HT. Doctor says there is no proven survival advantage in a case like DH's. and DH is so afraid of ADT that he doesn't question that. But now DH does have a suspicious lesion on his pelvis shown on the CT scan but not the bone scan. They will look at it when they do the MRI and radiate it also if needed.
