First office visit to surgeon

When preparing for your first visit after diagnosis to a new urologist/surgeon who will be handling your case, print up a chronological medical history with every detail including your meds, copies of diagnostic reports, CT scan discs, biopsy results, bloodwork, EKG recent tests of overall health, etc.
It will make the appointment go smoother, allow you and them to concentrate on the details at hand.
And they will love you for it.
We even brought pics off the internet of the anatomy of the gland so we could 'show and tell' which they in turn could draw on and explain.

When I went for my first appointment at the cancer clinic to review the pathology report I took in a written copy of all my questions. My wife and I kept taking notes and asking questions off the list.

At one point the surgeon ask to see the list and the proceeded to mark up the path report to show where our questions were answered or made notes on where we could look things up when we got home. She must have told the RO who came in next because he to see the list too.

The more prepared you are the better conversation you'll have and the more info you get.
