I am currently undergoing proton treatment for prostate cancer. My gleasonscore was a 3 plus 4. 3 cores were positive out of 12 I have had no side affects. I've played tennis every day of the treatment. Only thing I've noticed is a little fatigue as I near the end. If your insurance covers this, why would anyone go Thursday any other treatment?

Mike, we all choose our treatments for our own reasons, and sometimes they aren't always easy to explain. The important thing is to always support each other and refrain from questioning someone else's thinking process or reasoning.

Mike: Glad to hear from a proton guy that is doing well. We hear very little from proton treatment results. I will say that each man's journey is his to face and his to live with for the rest of his life.

I am very thankful I chose BT but even more thankful for the HW surgery, SBRT, EBRT, HDR, LDR , brothers who were "all" ther to help me through the most terrifying time in my life!

It sounds like you are doing well with the Proton treatments. For the record, I seriously considered proton treatment before finally deciding on surgery. All the best on your continued success....Tim
