Hooked up with the best in Alberta and certainly one of the best in Canada,for brachytherapy.Dr.Husain.Does brachytherapy in real time. Feeling very encouraged that this will be done by the end of summer and I will be on the road to recovery.2ND opinion from oncologist staged me t1c as opposed to initial t2b.Involved in a great support group now. More questions than answers so I am back to pick your brains...on biopsy 6 weeks ago,prostate measured 59.5 by ultrasound,yesterday at the CT scan it measured a whopping 84.5....how can that be? My psa went from7.1 before biopsy to 6.7 six weeks after biopsy.
My oncologist has scheduled me for brachytherapy Oct. 20 but with my size being almost double the ideal size for brachytherapy I am not confident that one shot of Lupron is going to shrink me in 9 weeks by 1/2
I have virtually no urinary symptoms.NONE and am worried something else can be going on.At 84 cc that thing is the size of a lemon! How could it be that large and be asymptomatic? Looking for input,experiences . ...anyone?
