Metformin and Jitters?

DH is feeling "jittery" which he is attributing to Metformin. Has anyone else experienced jitters from Metformin use? I'm not convinced it's the Metformin causing the jitters. Doc and Pharmacist both say Metformin shouldn't cause jittery feelings, but HD is insisting that it does and doesn't want to continue taking it.

I never had that or heard of it. I did have constipation, some have diarrhea.

Since it's primarily a drug to control type 2 diabetes, maybe his blood sugar is too low. I know I get jittery when mine is too low.

He was put on Metformin to control borderline type II diabetes. His docs said that since he was A1C was just a little over the "normal" range that they would have probably given him a chance to try to control it with diet and exercise first, but with the PCa, they went ahead and put him on the Metformin. I'll have him ask if low blood sugar might be a cause. He needs to go in for a new A1C test soon anyway. Thanks.

Possibly hypoglycemic (low blood sugar).
A positive side note is that metformin has shown to be helpful in controlling prostate cancer.

PCa in conjunction with diabetes is why he's on Metformin.
