How long were you on Lupron after radiation + brachytherapy boost

They were talking 2 to 3 years with just radiation. But with brachy boost they're talking 6 to 12 months. Anyone have similar experience?

In my case, I was on HT for 18 months: IMRT and brachy boost. But you'll find guys that do longer stints of HT even with the same combo treatment.

Three years on ADT3 with IMRT and HD Brachytherapy. At the time, my docs followed the BOLLA study from Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG). Since then for intermediate risk shorter periods (12-18 months) and intermittent have shown to be as effective (studies including one by Maha Husein at Univ. of Michigan). Continuous longer term (24-36 months) still appears to be the norm for high risk.

You are definitely high risk so be careful with your choice. Consider an opinion from one or more of the top specialists like Scholtz, Lam, Sartor, Myers, Kwon, etc.

I actually did SBRT but was on both Zytiga for 9 months w Lupron, just came off both 8 months after SBRT
