I was able to access the written reports today from my recent Clinical Trials trip to NIH.
The reports confirm what the docs had told me before I left. The only lymph nodes that show up are the ones I already knew about.
The DCFBC scan showed the same nodes as the January scans with the following remarks. The scans show a decreased uptake in the contrast agent.
The DCFBC trial was also accompanied by an F18 Sodium Fluoride Bone Scan. The F18 scan still shows nothing in the bones. And they compared it to the January 2015 scan as well as the four F18 scans that were part of a trial I did from Oct 2011-Oct 2012. NO CHANGES EXCEPT OLD AGE STUFF.
The Ferumoxytol Scans found the same ones as the DCFBC and were individually measured by the radiologist. The measurements match previous scans except where they had reduced in size. None showed any increase.
The NIH blood work had my PSA at 10.83. My last PSA done locally about 3 weeks ago had it at 11.58. The local test done one month before that had been at around 5.
That one was such a jump that I was concerned about a 1 month doubling time and having to go back on HT in a short time. Yesterday was one month since my last local test so I went and had a blood draw today to stay consistent with my lab work and monitoring.
If the local lab and the NIH are close I may have a little breathing room on the HT. The big jump in that one month was also accompanied by a dramatic rise in Testosterone from 120 to 570.
All in all the trials trip was valuable to me and hopefully to others that will follow in this crappy journey called Pca.
I am meeting with my Oncologist next week on the 14th and have printed copies of all of the reports to take with me.
I will take this as another “Bonus Day” and just keep on doing what I have been doing, enjoying the helloutta life.
