Hernia?

Went back to uro last week after another surgical center visit for stricture issues. Told him of burning pain in lower abdomen and inner thigh on one side only. Didn't see any thing in bladder and said it was possibly hernia. I have had this on and off since the prostatectomy in April 2014. Pain in inner thigh has been there for only about 3 months. I don't hink it is a hernia because strenuous activity does not affect it. Aside from that all is good had another PSA and its .02 . Haven't been on site in a while since its golf season here in Ct. glad to check in again.

DH just had his hernias repaired last week--3 of them. He described his pain just as you did--burning in the abdomen and later, nausea. The urologist and PCP weren't sure the pain was caused by a hernia, but the surgeon immediately determined that there were 3. Because of his AUS he had to wait until his surgeon and his urologist were both available for surgery. He wore a truss which helped. Fortunately, it went without a hitch and he is recovering nicely. I guess our advice: see a good surgeon for his opinion.
