SRT Treatment

My first week of SRT, all good, had prostate removed 3 1/2 years ago, PSA stayed down until last month, jumped to 1.0 from .17 in a year, had Bone scan, CAT scan, MRI, all negative, Dr thinks some tissure left in bed where prostate was removed, emitting PSA, having 37 external beam treatments,
pre op PSA was 4.9
Prostate cancer was at 6%
had 1 lymph involved, very small.
Gleason was 3+4
These treatments are at a 50% yes and no.

I hope that you have very few side effects. I just finished SRT on May 15. Going for first follow-up PSA in mid August. I stayed very active and just lived life as normal as possible. Trusted the Lord to let those professionals and machines do what they know how to do. I had an hour drive each way to the center. I did not get any speeding tickets. Got a little more tired near the end. A little burning sensation now when I urinate. Had lots of support from friends and even strangers who were willing to help and show concern. It was hard for them to understand this was not like other immediate type cancers. The lady at the Speedy Stop where I get my morning caffeine even offered to drive me to the center. My wife was not amused. Still a very nice thought.
Part of the peace that I had going into this was from all of the great knowledge these members of this forum have printed here over the years. There is no way any of us could have amassed all of the information which is here not to mention the tremendous support. I am on the outside most of the time just looking in. This is a great time to say THANK YOU moderators and owner of the forum for all the import functions you do to keep everything running smoothly. Drink the right amount of water everytime. Make sure you are checked correctly before they zap you.
