HAPPY TO BE HERE, EVERYONE! (and Happy Birthday to me)

I thought it might be a little too much self serving to just wish myself a Happy Birthday, thus the title. Yesterday I enjoyed with my family a Milestone Birthday for me, at 60 yrs old, not feeling it, thank God, I still feel young!..and in REMISSION!

I do feel it small ways like aches and pains and less strength and energy. I blame to medications,but realize I have reached the age that my Father was when he died of heart disease. But even with PCa I will not be letting that get me down, I plan to live for many many more years to come.

I have not stated many threads here, more of an observer and occasional encourager, and sometimes, like yesterday, I post a little bit off the wall. But I just could not see anything negative on my special day,hence that questionable post. I appreciate all the technical info, am encouraged by you stories of your particular journey, realize we are all unique and special. There are so many unseen lives touched by this site. I appreciate it very much and appreciate ya'll very much. (and I'm not even from the south) . As always, i just want to encourage YOU ALL to keep the Faith, and celebrate each day as if it were your birthday, or that of someone that you love!

Seriously, Wings of Eagles, when I read your post above I thought to myself that what you said was a pretty good statement on the value of posting here, both in starting threads and in replying to them. Without question, this place is, as you say, a wonderful source of both knowledge and support that benefits so many.

And may I say that in your own case, whenever in the past I have seen your username "Wings of Eagles" in the margin of a new post, identifying you as the originator, I knew immediately that it was going to be a a post of good sense and positive encouragement, and a sure source of help to someone.

So, again, happy birthday to you, and I hope you continue to be the valuable contributor here that you have been!
