Ron,
Additionally look into High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy and SBRT. These solve the seed migration and body movement problems inherent with seeds. In these treatments no radiation is left in the body. An excellent website for HDR is www.cetmc.com by Dr. Jeffrey Demanes head of the department at UCLA Med Center. He is the father of HDR and started using it in 1981.
A good friend who was age 70, diabetic, very overweight and with a large prostate was not a candidate for either surgery or seeds, but had success with HDR. That was six, thankfully, cancer-free years ago.
Also look for SBRT in your area among radiation oncologists. In Atlanta we have several sources for both HDR and SBRT. As you are lower risk, you have plenty of time to seek several opinions to choose the best primary treatment.
