I just got the news from my lab report back today, and my PSA level is at 0.09, which is at 45 months post brachytherapy. Trending down is always cause for celebration. I'm quite pleased.

Nice downward trend. How did you feel when it rose to 1.6 after 13 months? I take my next reading in early January, which will be 12 months following proton treatment. It fell from 6.6 to 2.5 six months after treatment ended. My hope is it will be under 2.0 in January. I don't know how I will respond to a number 2.5 or higher. Everyone says to expect a bounce somewhere along the way, but when it comes it has to be a real downer.

hrpufnstuf,
Yes, it was an anxious time there for a few months when my PSA went up. Even though being assured it was 99% a routine "bounce", still caused a few restless nights. I will say that this forum and support from members, and all the research I could do on my own helped calm my fears.
