Dr.,
Speaking only of my own case. I had zero issues, ever. No infections, no burning, nothing but a pattern of a fast rising PSA starting at the old standard testing standard of getting a base line at age 50 per my long term PCP. In 2007, PSA reached right over 4.0, had first biopsy - no PC, evidence of PIN. A year later, PC was over 12.0, 2nd biopsy, no PC, lots of HGPIN. Dr. insisted on a 3rd biopsy approx. 6 weeks later (?), said he was convinced, saw some suspicious shadows. First 2 biopsies were standard 12 core, so third one was done, only 7 cores - right into the shadows - he was right, 7 of 7 were PC, some over 90% pure, lots of HGPIN, and PIN, and evidence of PNI, Gleason 7. The rest was history.
No one in my family ever had PC. As doctor said, it has to start somewhere.
