When I used to fly a lot for business I was always pleased to get an upgrade. This time, not so much.
The second reading by UCSF pathologist upgraded me from G6(3+3) 3 of 14 cores, to G7(3+4) 4 of 14 cores, with two cores at G4, though only at 10% of the tumor.
Spoke with the UCSF surgeon and I am still on track to get the Oncotype DX testing and have an appointment with Dr. Gottschalk the radiation oncologist in 2 weeks (expert in Cyberknife and brachy). When I asked the surgeon about active surveillance makes sense in this case she said she first wants to see the genome testing results (though they are often inclusive for mid-risk cased). Then it looks like either MRI or ultrasound imaging to get a better look.
So still researching but I'm getting the sense that treatment of some kind is likely sooner rather than later.
