Great news Dewayne! As I recall, your son is a Wrestler. Hope his season goes well.
Thank you.
Yes, he WAS a wrestler. He graduated high school last year. His team finished 2nd in the state of Georgia to Jefferson High, a powerhouse that has won it 15 years in a row in two different divisions. They looked like freaking Russians out there compared to our country boys but I was proud of our kids. We beat two top rated programs on our way to the finals though.
My son was the starter at 125 lbs. He actually 'wrestled up', and could've easily got down to 112 lbs. but he was happy to help the team this year in the dual and traditional seasons. Being so light, he's only 118 lbs. now as a freshman in college, he can't really compete in college as they start at 125 lbs. and those guys really weigh 145 lbs. during the off-season.
So he works at Dunkin' Donuts and goes to college! He can fill his face every night with donuts and sweet tea and never seems to gain weight. I've got another son set to graduate from Berry College in Rome, Georgia in May.
I celebrated my PSA last night with nachos and four beers at a local pub but I was hurting at 7 a.m. this morning as the trainer made us row all-out for a 1,000 meter PR first thing.
Thanks all.....
