Not much information on the specific coil except hyperbole. External phase array coils have been around for a couple of years. I had a 3T mpMRI with external coil (with and without contrast) and it showed only one suspicious location which turned out to be false on a 13 core biopsy.
Still the gold standard for prostate cancer is the biopsy. The MRI is another tool to help the clinician to target suspicious areas, but as of yet, it isn't effective in determining if an area is cancer or not with 100% certainty.
