Well, funny thing is I've been watching Ellen and other shows like that, and I do seem to get a tad ,....sympathetic lets say.....when watching the stuff.

Jaymot, I'm not staring at your prognosis at the moment, but for most low and intermediate risk PCa, waiting for 90-120 days has not demonstrated any negative impact on treatment outcomes/efficacy statistically from what I've read.

That said, if your prognosis requires more prompt treatment timelines, I'm sure FCCC would accommodate the need.

Day 3 of HT and feeling fantastic. Hip pain is all but gone so mobility back a hundred percent.

So......here I am thinking again. Spent the better part of the afternoon with my little guy at GolfTown hitting balls and putting. We had a great time.

I've decided not only am I going to beat this thing, but I'm gonna beat it sooooo bad, it's gonna go crying all the way home, and spend 5 years in therapy.

I've also challenged myself to make every person involved in my treatments laugh at every opportunity.

The way I see it is if I laugh through this, then of course everyone will see me winning.

To that end, I think we should open a "Lighter side of PCa" thread. Sure, there's nothing funny about it, but if we have to go through it, we might as well laugh at every comedic turn. There really is comedy in everything....not all pretty, but funny none the less.

Day 4..........still feeling fan-friggin-tastic.

Got my pre-Lupron blood test results today.
PSA Down a full point from Nov/15 - 11.5 to 31 Mar 16 - 10.4 (PCa is ALREADY SCARED!!) I'm gonna keep talking trash to my PCa.....woosie little baby that it is..........
T = 9.0

Day 5 on Lupron & Casodex and still feeling fantastic....any idea when I might start feeling "different"?

You mean more different than you are now??

I started noticing SE starting about 2 months after my initial injection.

The SE are very strange as they are almost imperceptable.

But they continue and sort of sneak up on you.

Do you still have your libido? I seem to recall that dropped on me after a week or so. The worst was the hot flashes and that probably kicked in around a month or so. The first few were amusing, but they got tiring pretty quickly.

Glad you're feeling so good now--hope it stays that way for you!

PS And for the record, it's not like you ever feel terrible. But it makes you feel...older.

Michael, eh....I'm still driving sheet-rock screws with the ol fella if that's what you mean... ;)~

No hot flashes yet either. I do feel slightly...how to put it...slow minded? Not terribly noticable, but I do find that I might choose the wrong word kinda thing, and have a hard time to correct it, even if I repeat the phrase. Might just be me though.:D

On the subject of hot flashes, my dad told me that the two worst parts of HT were that he grew man-boobs and that mom had no sympathy at all with the hot flashes.

Hang in there Newt..you're going to nail it to the wall. Keep laughing.

FYI, my equipment continued to function perfectly during HT, I just had no desire to use it. I do think some people think HT = ED and that's not the case.

My hat is off to you if you've managed to keep your libido during this period! Keep making us proud!

The ol Libido is still spinning as good as always. My energy seems to cycle 2 or 3 times through the day though. So far, it's pretty easy to work through.
Spent the day working in the shop yesterday, and felt great the whole time. As soon as I stopped to go in and watch the Spieth melt down, everything started to ache as if it was the first time I ever worked out....LOL
Overall, I currently rate the HT SE severity at 1 out of 10. That's 12 days into 112 day treatment plan.

12 down............a hundred to go.

Captains Log......Star Date 13 Apr 2016.....
So, today is offically day 14 of 120. Two weeks of ADT under my belt. Still no SE's to speak of. Some minor fatigue and aches in my legs at the end of the day. but like I said....very minor.
Nothing much new in the way of appointments. Next one is 19th May...just to do a Pre-Op screening for the HDRBT procedure.
Looking for a new boat....Bowrider.....Fish & Ski package....Outboard. That should keep me busy.

Whats up with all of you?

Speaking of low T......I was kinda surprised that my T was only 9 at my pre-lurpon baseline testing.

Your T was 9? I presume that means you're in Canada? My level prior to treatment was 364 (US number), went to <20 while on HT and has slowly fought its was back to 275, which is still low.
