Both of you had surgery so it wouldn't be a bounce in the sense of what happens when radiation is the initial treatment. As I understand, PSA progression following surgery, SRT, and ADT indicates systemic disease.
You can wait until the PSA gets to the point that various scans can locate the mets and then treat them accordingly or begin treatment as soon as the PSA progression so indicates. If I were in your shoes, I would be finding a very good PCa medical oncologist that has a lot of successful experience treating systemic disease.
As to the treatment it will probably include ADT but may also use chemotherapy as it is being introduced earlier in the treatment regimen with success.
