Need ideas, please

My family member was diagnosed 3 years ago with mets from the get-go. He has tried Lupron, Casodex, Xtandi, Zytiga and they did not work for more than a few months. He has many bone mets and also has lung and lymph node mets. He tried Taxotere w/Prednisone, and Taxotere w/Carboplatin. Neither worked. He was just started on Jevtana and was told that if this does not work, that it is the last chemo he can try? Is this true? Is there nothing else to be tried? Any ideas/knowledge would be appreciated and helpful.

So sorry that your loved one is having limited success with treatment. As Allen said, the big question is whether or not this is small cell cancer. If it is then tx direction would be more like what small cell lung cancer patients receive. See if you can find out if the MO has tested for neuroendocrine cancer. Some blood markers may give.some indication, but a biopsy of tumor would confirm.
