Dear Break60,
Great question !
Routine scans along the way have shown that I've got arthritis beginning to emerge in both of my knees --- I'm into my third year on continuous ADT hormone shots --- I've been on LUPRON, then FIRMAGON, and now ZOLADEX injections.
Nobody walks faster than I do, up and down the halls of the school where I teach each day --- and I can still keep up with all my school kids out on the playground each day --- with me in the midst of the soccer games, kickball games, football games, and basketball games --- and I like to go for late-night walks each evening which don't give me any problems at all. But behind the scenes, steps and staircases are getting a little more challenging ...
Way back in the day, I ended up being among the tallest in my class back in my hometown --- so, I found myself running relays and HURDLES, beginning when I was 10 years old, due to my height --- might be paying the price for leaping those hurdles, back in those years --- track meets !
So --- just the fallout from training for leaping hurdles years ago --- or side effects of continuous ADT shots ? Who's to know --- but I'm going out and walking some miles tonight, nonetheless. Great sunsets here in the Midwest lately ! Postcard perfect !
Sent with my best, Break 60,
