Provenge therapy Help!

For Provenge experiences, scroll to the top of this page and just type in "provenge" in the search box. Also look at member Todd1963 posts. He is a great example of Provenge treatment experience. My Insurance turned me down for that, said it was too expensive and not a required recommended next "step" in treatment. Todd also was turned down initially , but found the right Doctor, and fought to have Kaiser Ins. pay for it.

I had Provenge concurrent with SBRT 18 months ago with no adverse side effects.

As a monotherapy Provenge is hard to measure effectiveness as it does not necessarily result in a PSA decrease. So I measured the combined result.

In theory Provenge makes all future treatments more effective.

Post again if you decide to do Provenge and I can elaborate on the three hours (in my case on Friday) it takes to extract and one hour a couple days later (in my case Monday) it takes to reinsert the blood which in the interim has been taught to combat PCa in much the same concept as a flu shot.

There are 3 treatments week one on, week two off, week three on, week four off and week five and final on, So takes a month of elapsed time.
