Need knee surgery: is it more difficult to recover while on ADT?

I have arthritis in joints. Had shoulder replaced a few months after RP with no problems. Now I need knee replacement but I'm on ADT3 until October. Is it problematic to have ortho surgery while on ADT? I suspect that ADT is exacerbating my arthritis. Have any of you guys had ortho surgery while on ADT and do you regret it?

On my recommendation, a guy in my support group is entering a clinical trial at JH for bipolar androgen therapy (BAT) so that he can get his knee operation while he is juiced up with supraphysiologic doses of testosterone. I know it doesn't apply to you, but the thinking is the same. You are right that healing is likely to be better when your T levels are higher - that's what anabolic steroids do. Can it wait till the Fall?

I dunno the answer to your exact question. But...I can compare the knee replactment to RRP.

We've both had RRP...yours was O-, mine was R-. I can tell you that the knee replacement was a more significant recovery, for me.
