I don't think it is possible for a male to "voluntarily" give up his sex life. As you age your sex drive will diminish but it will still be there ..... kinda like trying to voluntarily give up breathing.
Ditto, bolo's and todd's statements .... the son is rising.
Well, I guess the key word in that is "voluntarily". Did I volunteer to give it up, or did I just surrender due to miniscule pleasure, or even all things considered the opposite of pleasure? whichever, but bottom line: whatever the results were, they were not worth the hoops being jumped through.
I did make a decision(voluntary or not) to stop sticking needles in it, and fearing Peyronie's and ER trips, or pumping it up, or spending megabucks on Cialis(for therapy, not for sex) in order to have constant heartburn and frequent nose bleeds, all(except Cialis) to get a fake feeling erection for an orgasm that was without any real pleasure and sometimes downright unpleasant, and usually accompanied by urine through out the attempt. I went through all of that religiously for a good year(almost at 2 1/2 years now since RP), but finally said "this is not worth it". I used to think I would go for the implant, but I have not thought about
that in quite a while either, as I tend to think "considering all of the above, what's the point?".
If orgasm was still pleasurable, and if I had a partner who had needs and wanted it, then I would probably go for the implant. But I hear shrinkage, or additional shrinkage, often goes with that, though maybe not always. But just one more negative to consider, so I'd need to have some other strong positive rewards to go through that.
I certainly do not look forward to any possible future HT. However, it would have one apparent blessing if I am forced into it: the absence of all sexual thoughts, or so I hear.
