PSA DROP FROM 2.2 to 0.9 in 1 month???

PSA dropped by almost 2/3 in one month, from 2.2 to 0.9 after steadily increasing at a very fast pace for months. I increased Metformin from one to two 500mg per day plus added a second multivitamin, one AM and one PM during the month but never expected this. I am delighted but stunned. Has anyone else had this much drop this quickly? I can't remember reading of a case here that fell this quickly without medication. It may be a lab error but I doubt it. Any comments are appreciated.

Mine dropped from 2.6 to 2.2 in a month, but nothing compared to your big drop.

could the previous rises have been the infamous PSA bounce, post radiation?

I wonder if your increase in Metformin could account for that?

lab error is also possible.

When I asked my MO about Metformin, he rejected it saying the side-effect risk was not worth the benefit..He was skittish about combining it with Zytiga / Predisone / Lupron that I'm taking now...

Metformin : Commonly reported side effects of metformin include: lactic acidosis, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and flatulence. Other side effects include: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, weakness, and decreased vitamin b12 serum concentrate.

August PSA number is in............... 1.4, up about 50% from 0.9 in July, which was down from 2.2 in June. These numbers make no sense at all. No meds except Metformin involved.
Anyone else experience this kind of PSA fluxuation while battling advanced disease?
