Well, I guess this will be my 5 year update. I'm pretty close to 5 years since dx. And now about 2 years post treatment. This G9 stuff sucks... always a worry... but...

PSA <0.05 !

Another 3 months not to worry. Can someone tell me when I can start to celebrate? Lol!

Had an early PSA test due to annual physical - result today, 20 months out from surgery, is my first "<" sign.

After rising to .06 last February it is now < .014. Though The future is uncertain, today I am happy I didn't go for secondary therapy last winter, that I first tried following dietary advice. For any who may be interested I am off all meat, all dairy, eggs, processed foods and sugar in all forms save fruits and vegetables. I've added turmeric, black pepper and flax. We've a big fruit and vegetable garden so I'm eating especially well in these harvest months.

Steve got PSA results today. It is still declining, but at a snail's pace. RO does not give much feedback. Only comment we get is "another drop in PSA". Steve is doing pretty good with the recommended modifications to his diet. Very little beef and dairy which is hard because he loves both. Working on getting his weight (155) and Vit D levels (54) up.

2/16 - 1.30
5/16 - 1.08
8/16 - .96

I lurk on the forum occasionally just to check on how everyone is doing. We are trying to get moved into a townhouse we purchased back in June 2015, a month before the Pca DX. We gutted it last year and have slowly been putting it back together, piece by piece. We hoped to move-in this summer, but the estimated move-in date is mid-October.

Would love to attend Fall GFMPH but it is still tentative.

I'm in the same boat, just a different vacation, 7 months after my third HT go round has worn off. PSA at 0.9. My onc seemed unconcerned, will test again in 6 months. Our practice has been to let it run to 9 or 10, run scans and restart HT. So far no mets but of course I'm wondering how many times I can go to the plate without striking out.

My PSA this month was 0.4 again. Approaching the 5 year point. This may represent my nadir.

I had a couple draws this month. Most recent was 0.57 which was drawn as I was preparing for my proton therapy. Recurrence was showing in my pubic bones on C-11 scans.
I hope to report back in September with a decline, maybe even a zero.

I'll buy a round, too! John is one year post radiation and is at 0.019! No appointment for 6 months! Yippee!

After 9 months Zoladex. Ultrasensitive PSA came in at.. < 0.02.. very happy, been playing this game for 9+ years now, but this is the best result so far.

Still August, but barely. Gary had two tests this month. Went Down 200 points on the 8th and another 100 points today! I know most people wouldn't get excited about a spa of 690, but considering it was 1000 points higher in May, we are pretty jazzed smilewinkgrin
