This is the first time

Hi all!!

Ireceived Lupron shots for two years. I was due for another shot in June, but I am now on vacation from that stuff! Thank you Lord very much!

But, in all the time I was on it I was never nervous about PSA tests, wasn't even scared about my diagnoses (at least not trembling and crying).

I am now finding that the closer I get to my next PSA test in September, it's scaring me, I'm thinking about it a lot!

Anyone else going through this? Or has anyone gone through this? Does it last long?

As I understand, there is a six month half-life with Lupron, so there will remain a good amount in your system for awhile. It took nearly a year from the last shot for my T to start recovering. After it started going up I returned to the normal range within about a year. Yours may go faster as you were on Lupron for two years. I was on it for three.

I would expect your PSA to stay low for now. Save the PSA anxiety for the time your T gets back into the normal range. That is when you will know how well your treatments have worked. I have my T checked every six months and my PSA every three months.
