Hi Battle Brothers.
Well here am 22 months after my dreadful DX and still maintaining undetectable status with ongoing HT. Suffering from the usual HT side effects which is a small price to pay considering the alternative.
I do not post much but an constantly checking up on everyone and for the most part I am glad that everyone is hanging tough. My dr is delighted and keeps telling me to hang in there while new treatments are in trial and hopefully forthcoming when I will need them. I wish that some of these would be expedited and sometimes I feel frustrated that it takes years.
Take care guys and stay strong and healthy

Congrats! That is great news. We, too, are hoping for new treatment options. HT can be a bear, but it's working for now.

Hey Geop,
Congrats on making it 22 months on HT with an undetectable PSA. You are one of the lucky ones who respond well. Here's to another 22 months with the same success!

Good news on the low PSA. May it stay that way. Like many, my goal is to hang in there long enough for some of the next generation treatments to become more available and hope it works on rare forms of prostate cancer.

Hello Geop !
I always watch and wait for your posts --- you've always been a loyal "fellow in the fight" --- we joined this "band of brothers" right about
the same time --- and I have always appreciated your ongoing loyalty and support and encouragement to the members here over time.
That being said, you are having what one of my doctors would term "TREMENDOUS SUCCESS" from your treatments! I call P.S.A. the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (to borrow from the movie title of the same name) and you've got the tiger and the dragon locked up in a cage ...
Your treatment success is an encouragement for others here who have recently received the news of an advanced case ... that diagnosis can be a staggering blow ... physically and emotionally. Your treatment success is a testimonial to the impact that the newer medications and treatments can have ...
I think we ALL look forward to additional medical breakthroughs on the horizon ... what's the next "big step" in shifting the treatment landscape? What's the new medication breakthrough that will provide additional help for those in need? Can we get some new options approved and rolled out in the near future? It's hard to be patient sometimes, especially when we have brothers in need ...
You've knocked the fire-breathing enemy down to undetectable levels and for that, I truly give thanks, Geop. You have my unwavering support, and I'm thankful each time you check in here with us. Keep traveling to new horizons --- keep setting new life goals --- keep living life to the fullest --- and most importantly, keep sharing your story with others who need hope and encouragement.
I appreciate the loyal spirit of brotherhood you've always shared, Geop. Thankful beyond words to hear your good news!
Handshake of friendship, from across the miles,

Thanks for encouragement Gents. It truly has been a battle that's for sure.
I am so very grateful that I am having a great successful response to initial HT and lucky to have found this site and you guys.
Stay well

Great news on your test results. I am about
a year ahead of you, and HT is working well for me also. Seen a little creeping up but in the 100ths. From what my Docs have beens saying the longer HT is working, the longer they expect it to continue. THe side effectscan be a pain in the rear end but the alternative is worse.
Be well my friend.

Very impressive and so glad to see another trooper doing well in spite of tough dx! Yes HT does take its toll but plenty of folks have it much worse. I'm off HT 11/1 hopefully for a long time but I'll take whatever I can get. It's all about
living as long and as well as possible ! 😁
