post Ralp

Its almost 3 months post my robotic protactomy.
Was lucky in regards contenance, no problems from day 1.
psa pre op 6,4
8 weeks follow up after ralp PSA 0.01

I would like to know if anybody experieced the following symtoms. After the op most of my pain was in my lower back. could not lay on my back and right side. pain, maybe more funny feeling in right foot?
I was convinced it was my lower back. Had a mri and seen a doctor. Nothing identified on mri.
lower back feeling still the same, feel like stiffness/pain. When laying on back its worse , gone when standing but then move to right foot.After mri confirmed back ok I think pain may be at prostae area, I dont know, Anybody with simmilar symtoms? suggestions.

Did you contact surgeon prior to MRI...Id be surprised if he thought it necessary for one...but then that was then...this is now...never mind...no matter...no mind...never matter

I have lower back pain every night when I lay on my back only. It's weird. It's the only time it hurts. I think mine's a symptom of "just one of those things" (not sayin' your's is. Or even mine for that matter)


I think mine might be muscular. It's painful to the point of not being able to lay on my back at all. But as the night progresses, then in the morning....it's not painful. Dr. Dave says "muscular". But he's the only one who knows he's a doctor.

Amazingly I had low back pain for 20+ years, but it went away about 2 months before my Pca diagnosis. Go figure. As the other gentlemen mentioned, what you are experiencing is somewhat common, and hopefully it will go away soon. Best of all, it's good to hear that your SE seem minimal and your post op Psa is great.
