Came across this while websurfing.
It's a wonderful testament to the individual courage that some people show, those who have become paraplegic, or lost the use of their hands, or who have otherwise become challenged in handling objects around them, who have somehow become able to create paintings, often of remarkable quality, by using only their mouths or feet to hold and guide the paintbrushes.
We have all probably heard about
such people, perhaps seeing short news stories about
them and the art they produce. Learning more about
them is both inspirational and is a lesson in courage for all of us.
Not that any of us here need lessons in courage. We have some mighty brave folks right here on this forum when it comes to showing courage in the face of adversity.
But it's always enlightening to see how others, especially those with severe physical handicaps, amazingly overcome the obstacles they have been presented with, and succeed!
I learned that there even exists an association of such remarkably artistic persons, the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA), with
locations in the U.S. and Europe. about
