2nd PSA test following RP

So, I got my blood draw yesterday for my 2nd post op (6 month) uPSA test. I log onto the lab website this afternoon and the results are already posted........BUT will not be released until the Dr. sees them first. My Dr does not have Friday hours, so I have to wait until Monday to get the results. Right now, I don't know if that's good or bad. I don't know if I will enjoy the weekend or worry all weekend. It kills me right now to know that the NUMBER is known......to somebody! But, not me!

Oh well, I guess this PSA anxiety is real and I gotta figure some way to deal with it.

Hey guys, enjoy the weekend. I will be watching my 8th grade daughter sing with her school choir at Barnes and Noble tonight. So, my weekend starts off pretty good. Hoping I can ride the wave until Monday. Will let you know mid-day Monday where I stand.

I would talk to the doc about it. I think one of the options they have is to automatically post the results or wait for approval, at least in our system. Some results, for the same test different docs, are available immediately and the doc then comments on the results at a later time. The results are tagged as "Released by an Automated Process".

The other doc comments on them and then releases them at the same time. Again, same test, same system different doc's so I think its how the order was put in. Won't help you this time but it might make your future ones a little easier.

And NO it has not gotten any easier after almost 2 years post surgery. Do your best to not think about it until Monday.
