I did - one time. My "new normal" T level is around 500-550 (I'm now 69 y/o), but one test it spiked to 962. My uro really didn't flinch, suggested holding every other daily dose (I use one of the daily gels). I tried that but it felt like "crash and burn" all over again, so went back to full dose. Later, in prep for RT, I cut the daily dose to half a tube of gel. I felt the reduction, had all the side effects, etc., but kept it that way for 6 weeks until docs gave me the "all clear" to revert to normal dosage through treatment and after.
One nationally-known and highly regarded doctor opined that it is possible that the one high reading is either a lab error, or that I may have unknowingly contaminated the blood-draw site with gel that morning. This is possible, as I normally apply skin lotion on my arms and legs after applying the gel to my upper body. I could have not washed off all of the residual gel completely.
At any rate, after the dosage restriction for some weeks, then back to full dosage for a month, all seems normal again.
