I think that a couple of you guys (compiler, sheepguy) have "jumped the rail" and have been posting in the wrong thread, again. Your comments-about
-my-comments (ok, where's the value in that?) don't line up with my comments in this thread. I'm having a conversation with Michael_T, not his brother.
Here's a summary of JackH's inputs in this thread to Michael_T:
- Post #1: wishing his brother well
- Post #2: highlighting that post-surgery upgrade in Gleason score is typically not a big deal
- Post #3: stark reminder that the severity of side-effects varies quite randomly; similar cases can have vastly different results, even from the best surgeons (in other words, don't beat yourself up over the known randomness)
- Post #4: my suggestion to offer your brother valued PC insight and love, not uninformed BS
Michael_T, it's up to you of course to pick-and-choose what feedback will be appropriate in your unique situation with your brother. He's lucky to have you to support him—you haven't experienced a radical prostatectomy yourself, but you know a bunch of guys who have!
